Your Ministry
Starts Here

A hands-on ministry residency for young leaders ready to be discipled, developed, and unleashed into real Kingdom impact.

Where Your Calling is Launched

The Pulse Residency is an 8-month, in-person evangelism residency in Minneapolis, MN, designed to equip emerging evangelists to clarify their calling, gain hands-on ministry experience, and launch into full-time ministry.

Whether you sense a calling but lack clarity, or carry a vision without a clear starting point, this is where that changes. You'll leave equipped with both the character and competence to step into full-time ministry with confidence.

Who Is It For?

We’re inviting a small group of individuals, ages 18-29, into this residency—those with a proven connection to Pulse Evangelism and a clear calling toward full-time ministry.

The Church doesn’t need more spectators.
It needs surrendered leaders ready to make Jesus known.

The Residency Experience

Residents commit 24–30 hours per week across three core areas:

Learn

Courses and classes covering the fundamentals of ministry leadership, evangelism, and long-term sustainability.

Connect

Intentional mentorship and cultivating relationships with leaders and ministries already doing the work you're called to.

Engage

Hands-on ministry alongside the Pulse Evangelism team, with direct proximity to leadership so you can see how a thriving evangelistic ministry actually operates.

Your Training Curriculum

Residents will receive training in the following core competencies necessary for long-term sustainable ministry.

Fundraising

Learn how to build and sustain a support team for long-term ministry.

Learn how to pray with boldness, stand firm in spiritual warfare, and build a prayer team that covers your ministry for the long haul.

Develop your voice and method with coaches who know the craft.

Learn what it actually takes to launch a ministry organization.

Gain experience in how to communicate your mission clearly to the people you're called to reach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is housing included?

Yes, Residents can reside at our furnished studio apartments in downtown Minneapolis. This is included in the cost of the Residency.

The Residency will take 24-30 hours a week; 8-10 hours of training (Tuesday & Wednesday), 8-10 hours of serving alongside our team (generally during office hours, except for when we have special events), 8-10 hours developing your own ministry efforts (you determine the schedule). Outside of these hours you are free to get another job to help with expenses. Just make sure the job has flexibility to accommodate special events and travel with advance notice.

The cost to participate in the Residency is $2,500 ($312 a month). This includes housing and training. An additional $150 a month will be charged for those participants who wish to obtain an accredited Graduate Certificate in Evangelism through Kairos University (which is an option for those who have completed a bachelor’s degree with a 2.5+ GPA.)

Through our partnership with Kairos University, we offer a fully accredited Graduate Certificate in Evangelism, for those who choose this option and have completed a bachelor’s degree with a 2.5+ GPA.

Since our program is designed to equip those who have a strong sense of calling to evangelistic ministry, we look for those who have practiced walking in their calling to some degree. However, having an official position within a church or ministry is not required.

Pulse Evangelism does not belong to any particular denomination, and our staff belong to a variety of denominations, generally in the Evangelical Protestant category. Our statement of faith states our shared beliefs. We encourage applicants to review this statement in order to gauge their alignment with Pulse Evangelism's core beliefs.

You will be trained in support raising as part of the Residency. You will raise funds for one ministry trip in the second half of the program. However, we would recommend that you come with a plan to pay for the cost of the program that does not entirely depend on fundraising, unless you already have a support network that is supporting you with your ministry and living expenses in place.

As mentioned before, the Residency will take 24-30 hours a week, all of which will generally take place during office hours between Tuesday and Friday, with the exception of travel and special events (of which you will be notified well in advance).

Yes, married couples can apply and reside in our apartments. However, our housing may not be sufficient for couples with children.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to support student visas for international applicants.
