When people think about evangelism, many imagine a person standing on a street corner yelling, “repent!” or a man on a stage healing people.

The thing is, evangelism is more about listening than speaking. It’s less about what you have to say, and more about how you listen.

We live in a world where people are desperate to be seen. The evangelist stops to meet people where they are and hear their story. Our commitment to listening is the conduit for sharing the grace of God that saved us and can save them.

That’s the work of the evangelist.

1. We believe the Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.


2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.


3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in His virgin birth, in His sinless Life, in His miracles, in His death and atonement through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His personal return in power and glory.


4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance of sin, and new life by the Holy Spirit is essential.


5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.


6. We believe in the forgiveness of sins, and the resurrection of every individual, either to eternal life with God in heaven or to eternal separation from Him in hell.


7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
